YBGB Fund
Young, Black & Giving Back Giving Fund, provides direct grants to Black-led nonprofits across the country. Through our work, we are directly connected with more than 2,800 Black nonprofits and their leaders and digitally connected to more than 6,500 Black nonprofits across the United States. The relationships forged with Black nonprofits operating throughout the country positions us to understand their unique needs, especially small organizations working off of annual budgets of less than $25,000.
Research has shown that less than two percent of institutional funding goes to Black-led nonprofits, which are the very organizations most equipped to support the critical needs of Black communities. These organizations provide essential services to their communities, but often need seed or gap funding to fully reach their needed impact.
Currently, our YBGB Fund provides those essential resources with mini-grants between $500 and $1,500. Mini-grants of this size are critical for communities receiving the support needed in areas such as education, mentorship, health and wellness, and economic empowerment, and more.
